Born in 2000 and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Eric On is a student of horn performance and composition. Vietnamese-American musician, Eric, is a regular performer within the Las Vegas area, mainly playing in ensembles such as The Las Vegas Philharmonic, Henderson Symphony, and the Desert Winds. In addition to freelancing, Eric runs a French horn lesson service aiding brass players all over the Valley. Students of Eric have gone on to place in NMEA's All-State Ensembles, Blue Lake Music Festival, and YoungArts Music Competition. Eric is employed at the Las Vegas Academy of the Performing Arts and The Keyes Conservatory of Pinecrest as a Horn Paraprofessional.
Currently, Eric is pursuing his Masters in Horn Performance at Florida State University, under Michelle Stebleton. He holds a bachelor's in music composition from the University of Nevada (Las Vegas) studying under Diego Vega, Jennifer Bellor, and Viet Cuong. Meanwhile, he studied horn outside of his Compositional Studies under Bill Bernatis, Michelle Stebleton , and Beth Lano. Eric has been a under scholarship awarded fellowships for festivals such as The National Music Festival, Prague Summer Nights, and Boston Brass Chamber Intensives. Aside from music Eric enjoys hiking, traveling, and taking care of his many fish tanks and guinea pigs.
