Born in 2000 and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Eric On is a student of horn performance and composition. Vietnamese-American musician, Eric, is a regular performer within the Las Vegas area, mainly playing in ensembles such as The Las Vegas Philharmonic, Henderson Symphony, and the Desert Winds. With the Florida panhandle, Eric plays with the horn for the Tallahassee Symphony, and the Pensacola Symphony. Eric runs an online consultation service for brass players of all ages, with the sole mission to prep and advise for performances/auditions. Prior to this, Eric partnered with the The Las Vegas Academy of the Arts and the Keyes Conservatory as a Horn Paraprofessional. Students of Eric have gone on to place in NMEA's All-State Ensembles, Blue Lake Music Festival, Orchestra Las Vegas, Las Vegas Youth Orchestra, and the YoungArts Music Competition.
Currently, Eric is pursuing his Masters in Horn Performance at Florida State University, under Michelle Stebleton. He holds a bachelor's in music composition from the University of Nevada (Las Vegas) studying under Diego Vega, Jennifer Bellor, and Viet Cuong. In addition, Eric studied horn, under Bill Bernatis, Chris Castellanos, and Beth Lano. Eric has been a under scholarship awarded fellowships for festivals such as The National Music Festival, Prague Summer Nights, and Boston Brass Chamber Intensives.
Aside from music Eric enjoys hiking, traveling, and taking care of his many fish tanks and guinea pigs.
